Double Standards on Iraq?

Leaving Iraq

Leaving Iraq

Today, British troops officially left Iraq.

As part of the ceremony the names of all those killed over the past six years were read out.

I don’t have a problem with this. Whatever the dodgy reasoning for them being there, they deserve to be remembered for what they have done….. but

On 8 December 2005 Maya Evans was arrested outside Downing Street for….. you guessed it, reading out the names of soldiers who had died in Iraq.

Yet again, double standards from this Government, who are happy to play politics with the lives of the soldiers who serve this country.

Give ‘freedom’ to the people of Iraq while taking it away from the people of Britain….Aaaaargh!
